Nothing abominable about this Yeti

OK, sorry about the headline. But this blog is going to be cheesy anyway so why not start as I mean to go on. To wit, the delivery driver who dropped off our Skoda Yeti test car yesterday told me "you’re lucky, they’ve given you a fresh tail."
Eh?
He gestured to the white fluffy thing attached to the keyring.
"They get all dirty after a while and look a bit manky. But you’ve got a fresh one. Dunno why they think it’s white though, it’s not like anyone’s actually seen a real Yeti. How do they know it’s white? Anyway, enjoy the car."
First impressions indicate I will. I really liked the Yeti when I saw it for the first time at Geneva a year back and now it’s, ahem, out there roaming British roads I like it even more. It looks tough, without a hint of ‘out of my way little man’ SUV arrogance, is sensibly sized and dealt admirably with the slithery lanes on the way home last night in truly atrocious driving conditions. If this is the new face of socially acceptable 4×4s I’m a fan. With or without the fluffy tail.
