Con-VOY!
Dan Trent writes:A full report will follow from Ian but, as CJ as already mentioned, today was quite a day. And this is how it started. In a rain-swept lay-by beside the A41 at 7am this morning. Two Porsche 911s (GT3 and my pal Richard’s 3.2 Carrera), two furiously high revving and ultra hardcore hot […]

One of those days.
cj hubbard writes:
Today has been one of those days.
I have…
Required a ‘dab of oppo’ in a Porsche 911 GT3.
Slid and slithered my way round a very wet Silverstone in a Renaultsport Clio 200 Cup.
Absolutely crucified the A413 in the £38,599 Honda Civic Type R Mugen.

“I’m taking the day off..”
Dan Trent writes:With a Porsche 911 GT3 in the car park I had no other option! Holiday claimed, Porsche pointed at Wales … Wales returned the favour by delivering one of the wettest days in its history. And that’s saying something. cj hubbard writes:
Drove the Peugeot RCZ at the end of last week, and it raises one or two interesting issues that I didn’t really have the space to go into in the First Drive. So indulge me as I explain them here instead.
The first thing to point out is that the RCZ really is quite […]

Pics by www.zzzone.co.ukDan Trent writes:Good news! Renaultsport has announced its 2010 programme of trackdays, kicking off next week at Silverstone. And, yes, we’ll be there! I know I’ve said it before but these events really are a cracking deal for owners of hot Renaults, with a very reasonable entry fee which includes a session […]

Ferrari alarm call
Dan Trent writes:Sometimes it’s worth getting up really early for a little drive when everybody else is tucked up in bed. Like when you’ve got the keys to a Ferrari 599 for instance… Can’t think why those golfers got so hot under the collar…

Hello? I’d like to insure a Pagani please…
Dan Trent writes:This story doing the rounds about the £300K insurance bill to fix a pranged Pagani Zonda brings to mind my own experiences of trying to insure one for a roadtest. And, no, before you ask, it wasn’t me…
Anyway, I was working on a magazine at the time and, at the request of […]

The £38k Mitsubishi city car with one gear and four engine parts
cj hubbard writes:
So, Mitsubishi has finally revealed the pricing for its i-MiEV all-electric city car. And as my colleague Dan will tell you, I was still giggling about it a good two hours later.
For why? Well, the i-MiEV – which is based on the regular Mitsubishi i, recently of this parish and available for around […]
